Financial Aspects of Early Intervention

When a family discovers their child needs early intervention services, they may worry about how they will afford this additional expense. In general, early intervention services are first billed to any private insurance that may be in effect for the child. After that, a sliding-scale fee structure based on family income and family size is established for early intervention services. Families are encouraged to discuss concerns about the financial aspects of early intervention with their case manager.

Detailed information about insurance and billing is available through the Illinois Department of Human Services.
