Practitioners Resources
Practitioners are integral to the quality of early childhood care provided the nation's children. They have a need for up-to-date resources to support the children and families they work with. The Quality Inclusive Practices Checklist assists practitioners in identifying inclusive practices within their classrooms. The Parent Resource Pages will help practitioners support families whose children are culturally, linguistically or ability diverse.
Quality Inclusive Practices Checklist
This instrument is designed to assess quality inclusive practices within early childhood environments. The features used to define high-quality, inclusive early childhood programs and services are Access, Participation and Supports (DEC/NAEYC, 2009). The framework for this checklist builds upon these features. Access, Participation, and Supports are measured by a variety of evidence-based indicators.
