Math Success Center
Welcome to Summer 2022! Come to the New Math Success Center in ICN 1004! We have soft-seating, phone chargers and a place to gather with friends. There are spaces to do homework too. We have math assistants on hand for students who need help with math (see the Schedule below). This includes help with all math classes, from Elementray Algebra (087) to Calculus (161). Drop in anytime during these hours.

Opportunity to Re-take Placement Exam
If you are a current MATH 087, 094, 097 or 095 student and pass a course during this term, you have the option to retake the Placement Test to see if you can jump to a higher math course.
To apply to retake the Placement Test, fill out this form: Retake Request

- Go to my.heartland.edu and click on My Classes. Your class is in Canvas.
The textbook is online. The additional course fee covers your access to ALEKS or MLM for the term. Ask your instructor what they recommend.
Absolutely! You can work on math anywhere that you have internet access.
- You need to keep in mind that the amount of work is the same whether you take it online or in-class. That is, it will take from 10 – 15 hours a week to successfully complete your course.
- You will need to have a reliable computer to work from home.
