GED® High School Equivalency Program

Participate in GED classes and take the GED tests at Heartland Community College Pontiac.
Adult Education helps you:
- Improve basic skills in reading, writing, math and problem solving
- Prepare for the GED or other high school equivalency exams
- Achieve success with your academic and career goals
Spring 2021
Evening classes are January 20 - May 12, 2021: Monday and Wednesday, 5:30 pm-8:30 pm
Morning classes are January 19 - May 13, 2021: Tuesday and Thursday, 9:00 am-12:00 pm
No Classes : March 8-12, 2021
The Spring 2021 classes will meet online via Zoom twice a week. The instructor will provde Zoom link for each class.
- You don't pay anything. Classes are paid for by state and federal grants.
Before you can attend classes you need to complete an online orientation and placement testing. Click here to learn more about the orientation process.
If you require internet access to complete the online orientation, contact HCC Pontiac to arrange a time. You can also complete your placement testing at HCC Pontiac. You do not need to study for this test! Once the orientation and testing is complete, you'll be ready to attend the online classes.

Testing times are available from 8:30am-6:00pm on Mondays and Wednesdays, excluding holidays and other days HCCP may be closed.
