Heartland offers courses for personal enrichment or to improve your work skills. If you are interested in taking a class or two listed on our online class schedule for college credit, continue below! Step 1: Apply
If you'd like to take a few Heartland classes for personal interest or to improve your work skills, you must apply as a non-degree-seeking student. The courses will be for credit on your Heartland transcript, but not eligible for financial aid. After you apply, complete the steps below to register for classes.
Step 4: Meet Placement Requirements
To take classes at Heartland, you need to verify that you meet the prerequisites. If you have previous college credit, submit an unofficial transcript or progress summary to records@heartland.edu. If previous credit does not meet prerequisites, complete placement or submit documentation to waive placement.
Step 5: Contact HCC & Advisement and Register for Classes
Once you have completed steps 1-5, you must connect with Advisement and ensure prerequisites have been met before you can enroll. View the Advisement page to learn how to contact an academic advisor.
Step 6: Pay Tuition
When it comes to paying for college, you have many options. You can access your student bill online by visiting home.heartland.edu, loggin in to Student Center, then choosing View My Schedule/Bill.
