The Heartland Community College Veterans Center is your one stop resource if you have ever served any amount of time in the Armed Forces or are military-connected including Active Duty, Reserves, National Guard, Retired, ROTC, or if you are a military spouse or dependent child utilizing benefits.

Veteran Work Study Employment Opportunities
Veteran students can apply for Veteran Affairs Work Study benefits and be employed at Heartland Community College Veterans Center on a flexible schedule; earning tax free income while attending school.
Student Veterans Club
The Heartland Community College Student Veterans of America (SVA) Chapter is a free club available to veteran students, military spouses, and military-connected dependent children attending Heartland.

Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps (ROTC)
Heartland has partnered with Illinois State University’s Army ROTC program. Through this partnership, Heartland students can enroll in Military Science courses at Heartland, which are taught at ISU.
A limited number of course waivers are available for students who qualify.
