Veterans Center

Making the transition from soldier to student is a lot easier when you can do it with the support of fellow veterans who are also pursuing their educations. That's the idea behind the Veterans’ Center at Heartland Community College. We provide a welcoming and secure gathering spot for peer group discussions. The Center also serves as a centralized resource for the 150+ Armed Forces veterans currently attending HCC.

VA work-study students staff the suite, answer questions, and assist in the completion of up-to-date forms including:

• Education benefits
• Disability compensation and pension
• Applicable medical services

Whether you drop by for casual conversation or help sustain the Center's work in a more official manner, Heartland Community College's Veterans Center is there for you.

Veterans Center hours

Fall and Spring semester: Monday – Friday 8:30 AM – 4 PM
Summer semester: Monday – Friday 9 AM – 4 PM
