Testing Services

The Lincoln Testing Center provides you with a comfortable, secure, and accessible environment for a variety of exams. You can complete placement testing, course testing, GED testing, and other certification exams at the Lincoln location.

Tutoring Services

Tutoring Services helps you develop your skills, reach your potential, and become a more independent learner by providing accessible, personalized support for your academic, career, and personal goals. You can meet with a tutor by appointment at HCC Pontiac or connect online through the Zoom Tutoring Lounge.

Student Counseling & Wellness Services

Meet one-on-one with a licensed counselor through in-person or virtual appointments to discuss personal concerns, navigate the challenges of college life, and build strategies for success. Access free food resources through the HCC Pontiac Food Pantry if you are experiencing food insecurity or need additional support. Visit the Student Center in Pontiac to access the Food Pantry.

High School Equivalency (GED) Exam

High School Equivalency (HSE) exams are administered at Heartland Community College Lincoln through Pearson VUE Testing. To register, create an account at GED.com and choose your test site location.

Land of Lincoln Workforce Alliance 

The Land of Lincoln Workforce Alliance is federally funded through the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA). WIOA is designed to help job seekers access employment, education, training, and support services to succeed in the labor market and to match employers with the skilled workers they need to compete in the global economy.

Staff are available to assist Illinois residents with resources necessary to promote a productive way of life. These valuable resources are designed to help both businesses and job seekers foster growth and make the right connections. Skills gained through the LLWA assist individuals in obtaining jobs that provide opportunities for a successful future.

Services are offered at no cost to help individuals find self-sustaining employment through resume development, job search tactics, financial support while attending school to earn a certificate or degree for a high-growth occupation, and more. WIOA is focused on education and economic development to create a collective response to economic and labor market challenges on the national, state, and local levels.

Jobs at HCC Lincoln

The college accepts application materials for part-time instructors on an ongoing basis for all disciplines. College departments assess the need for additional instructors on a semester-to-semester basis, review application materials as positions become available, and contact qualified candidates accordingly. Community Exam Proctoring

Heartland Community College Lincoln serves as a proctored testing center for external institutions and Upward Mobility. Fees may apply for external exams. Appointments are required; call 217-735-731 to schedule.
