At Heartland, there's many ways to continue your education beyond the classroom. Whether it's crafting, cooking or you're looking for ways to improve professionally, chances are there's something for you.
Winter 2022 Courses
Make a quilt out of old T-shirts that are no longer being worn but have a special meaning. It is a great way to provide a keepsake! You should have basic sewing skills and will need to bring your sewing machine to class (a small number of machines can be available for use).
Course Fee: $69 (plus materials)

Learn about seasonal flora and master how to make floral centerpieces to complement and embellish your entryway, dining room, mantel, or any spot you envision. Take home your arrangement in a favorite vase or small container you bring and bask in the brilliance it creates in your space.
Course Fee: $25 (plus $5 supplies fee paid to intructor)

Just north of downtown Lincoln sits a country manor built in the style of the English moorlands. The Scully Mansion was built just before World War II by Tom and Victoria Scully, and now you can discover the story of how it came into the hands of its current owners. Learn their relationship with the property as you take a brief tour of the mansion. Walk away with firsthand historical insights of a notable Logan County location. You'll meet at Heartland Community College in Lincoln for an overview and then on to Scully Mansion. Participants will be responsible for transportation between the sites.
