Apply to Heartland
Whether you are new to Heartland or a returning student, you have come to the right spot!
Please review important information before applying.
Note: If you have submitted an application or taken a Heartland class within the last 12 months, you may not need to reapply. Please contact Admissions if you are unsure. To update your personal information or change your program of study, see the Update Student Information section of the Records page.
You do need to reapply if:
- You took College NOW (dual credit) classes during high school and are now applying to attend HCC after your high school graduation; or
- You completed a certificate or degree and want to start a new program of study.
To complete the application, you will need:
- A valid email address. An access code to complete the application will be sent to your email.
- Your personal information, including Social Security Number (SSN), complete mailing address (including apartment or unit number, if applicable), and phone number.
- If you do not provide an SSN on your application, we will send you a form to provide an SSN, ITIN, or verify that you do not have an SSN. A hold will be placed on your account, preventing registration, until the form is completed.
- Dates of attendance at each school. Dates can be approximate, as long as the month and year are accurate.
- If you attended a U.S. high school, use the Find My School button to locate your school. If you are having difficulties, try searching by city and state first, rather than school name.
- Otherwise, select International High School, Home-School, or GED. We do not need the name of a school for these options.
