Spring 2021 Commencement Celebrations
Our Commencement Celebrations will be coming to you in a different format this year. These are unprecedented times and it is unfortunate that we have to make these adjustments. However, it is important that we take the time to celebrate the culmination of all our student's hard work.
The first of our commencement activities will begin at 2:00 pm on Friday, May 14th with a Diploma Event on campus. Students who have signed up to participate on their graduation application will receive their cap, gown and any stoles/cords in advance. At this event, you will be able to arrive on campus to walk-thru the Quad with up to four of your friends/family, receive your diploma on a stage, and have your photo taken while those present will cheer you on. If you would like to be a part of this event, please make sure to indicate on your graduation application that you want to participate in the in-person event.
Later that night, we will be doing a Virtual Commencement Ceremony again this year. This will be very similar to last year’s virtual commencement ceremony. We will be streaming the ceremony live on Facebook and Youtube on Friday, May 14th at 6:30 pm. Check back here for direct links to our streaming options.
Members of the class of 2020 are invited to participate in the Diploma Event. To be a part of this year's event, please email Skylar at Skylar.Guimond@heartland.edu
Let your friends and family know you are graduating from Heartland Community College by adding a Grad Badge to your Facebook timeline.
To add a badge to your timeline click “Share” underneath the Grad Badge of your choice, and give it a "like" too!
Congratulations, graduate! This is a great achievement.
Check this website often for updates.
Prepare to Graduate
If you're completing a program of study (including Nurse Assistant and EMT) by the end of the semester, you'll need to apply to graduate. The earlier you apply, the better. That way we can make sure everything is good to go.
We also hope you celebrate your accomplishments by participating in the commencement ceremony.
