Student Art Show Submissions

The Joe McCauley Gallery is pleased to host Heartland Community College's Student Art Show each Fall and Spring semester.

The Student Art Show will be ongoing throughout the academic year, regularly rotating to feature new artists and artworks.

Submission Guidelines

  • All Heartland Community College ART students, current or former, are eligible.
  • All applicants are required to fill out and submit an electronic form for each artwork. Submissions will not be accepted without a form on file.
  • As this is a community exhibition, the artworks submitted must be appropriate for all ages.
  • All artwork must be original to the submitting artist. Submitting work that is a reproduction, plagiaristic, or misrepresentative in nature is grounds for dismissal from the exhibition and may result in future restrictions for application.
  • Framing, matting or mounting of 2D works is not required. All artwork will be displayed as submitted.
  • Students are encouraged to consult their art faculty when choosing their submission(s).

All reasonable precautions will be taken to secure the exhibition, gallery doors are locked at night, high volume traffic is present during the day and there are several security cameras in the vicinity. However, we do not exhibit work that is extremely valuable or fragile.

Artwork must be dropped off with Emma Grant, Coordinator for Liberal Art and Social Sciences, in ICB 2016. Pickup dates will be available during finals week of the semester the artwork has been displayed. If you need to pick up your artwork before or after the available pickup dates, please send contact us at JoeMcCauleyGallery@heartland.edu.
