Engineering

Why Engineering?

Phones, bridges, airplanes, roads - all of these are essential for our everyday life. None of them would exist without engineers! These professionals apply the principles of science and mathematics to develop economical solutions to technical problems.

Their work is the link between scientific discoveries and commercial uses.Faculty in Heartland's engineering department are ready to provide you with the analytical and hands-on skills you need to become a successful engineer.

Completing this degree program will allow you to transfer to a four-year college, where you can focus on a specialty within the field. These include but are not limited to chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical,
As a student in engineering classes at Heartland, you can look forward to:

  • hands-on learning in science, engineering and technology classes
  • working one-on-one with faculty who are interested in helping you reach career goals
  • connecting with potential employers and four-year engineering programs at colleges and universities.
