Hybrid Diesel Equipment Technology

Why Hybrid Diesel Equipment Technology?

The Hybrid Diesel Equipment Technology is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment or upskill opportunities through specialized training in the service, repair and maintenance of medium heavy-duty EV/Hybrid Diesel vehicles and equipment in the transportation, transit, construction, agriculture, and mining industry sectors. Through hands-on training and technical coursework, students will learn to diagnose, repair, and maintain both electric propulsion systems and traditional hybrid and diesel engines.

Key topics include electrical systems, battery technology, power electronics, regenerative braking, high-voltage safety protocols, and hybrid diesel-electric powertrain management. Students will also gain proficiency with the diagnostic tools and software used by industry professionals. Should you decide to pursue further education in this area, you can apply all of this coursework toward the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) - Industrial Technology degree.
