What is Transfer Services?

Transfer Services can help you connect with our 4-year partners as you decide on your transfer destination. We host fairs and table visits where students can connect with Admissions representatives. Meet with your academic advisor to choose classes that transfer to your chosen 4-year school.

Transfer Planning

Use this page to find more information about transfer destinations, partners, and events. Here are some tips as you work with your advisor to plan your transfer:

  • Find the right fit for you! 
  • Look at the majors they offer. 
  • Attend transfer events here at HCC. 
  • Research cost and scholarship availability. 
  • Visit the school! 
  • Take note of when the application opens and what the deadline to apply might be. 
  • Meet with your academic advisor here at HCC once a semester 
  • Apply one year in advance to the school(s) of your choice. 
  • Send your HCC transcripts. 

Illinois Articulation Initiative (IAI)

The Illinois Articulation Initiative is an agreement between participating schools that when a student earns their Associate in Arts degree, their general education core is considered complete.
