Studying English at Heartland Community College will expand your critical thinking and teach you to support your ideas with powerful reading and writing skills. In this program you can create poetry, fiction, drama or creative nonfiction. Our literature courses explore everything from works by modern authors to the classics. By studying how to read and write effectively, you'll be prepared to engage in our connected, global society.
Upon completion of your students, you can use your knowledge in fields such as advertising/marketing, journalism, publishing, teaching, researching, and public relations.
