Testing Center Hours of Operation

APPOINTMENTS ARE REQUIRED

To help ensure a smooth testing experience, appointments are required for all exams. Duplicate appointments for the same exam will be canceled. We encourage you to schedule as early as possible to secure your preferred testing date and time.

Before scheduling or visiting the Testing Center, please review the Hours section of our website for planned closures, holiday hours, and any unexpected schedule changes.

All-Day Closures

  • September 7th | Labor Day 2026 | HCC Campus Closed
  • November 25th - November 27th | Thanksgiving Break | HCC Campus Closed
  • December 24th - January 1st | Holiday Break | HCC Campus Closed

Upcoming Modified Hours

  • Testing Center Closed | August 26th, 10:30AM - 1:30PM
  • Testing Center Closed | September 25th, 8AM - 12PM
  • Testing Center Closed | October 14th, 8AM - 10:30AM

Dates to Remember

  • Fall 2026 Final Exams | December 4th - 11th
  • Placement Testing Closed | December 4th - 10th [increased Course Exams]
  • Course Testing Closed | December 14th - 18th [increased Community Exams]
  • Placement Testing Closed | January 11th - 15th [beginning of Spring 2027]

Hours are Subject to Change

Please note that the Testing Center Hours are subject to change during Final Exam periods, holidays, semester breaks, technology disruptions, faciltiy-related interruptions, and inclement weather. We encourage you to visit this webpage or contact the Testing Center [testing@heartland.edu] to confirm current hours during these times. 

Severe Weather Closures

If the College closes due to severe weather, an announcement will be available on the Heartland Community College homepage. We also encourage you to sign up for HCC-Alerts which will notify you of campus closures.

The HCC-Alerts text messaging service sends emergency information to your mobile device.
