Theater illustrates the power of telling important stories well. When you study theater you learn to empathize with the points of view of others, find and solve problems, communicate clearly, and collaborate and lead effectively. You also develop personal skills like confidence, interdependence, adaptability, motivation, and commitment.
Upon completion of your studies you will be prepared enter the profession in careers like acting, directing, scriptwriting, puppetry, stage management and design. Many other careers use the skills gained in theater including video game design and production, broadcasting, education, travel, voice acting, and theater in non-conventional settings such as business, schools or museums.
