The Heartland Hawk Film Festival showcases the work of current and former students of HCC!

In 2024 the Film Fest featured a free screening of the award-winning documentary Greener Pastures  at the Normal Theater in Uptown Normal.

Directed by Samuel-Ali Mirpoorian, Greener Pastures takes an urgent and intimate look at American farming, told through the stories of farmers living at the intersection of climate change, industrialization & a mental health crisis.

Current and former HCC students' short films were featured on May 9, 2024 at the Normal Theater.
