The Heartland Hawk Film Festival is back for another year to showcase the work of current and former students of HCC!

Join us for a free screening of the award-winning documentary Greener Pastures on Wednesday, May 8 at 6 p.m. at the Normal Theater in Uptown Normal, 209 W. North St.

Directed by Samuel-Ali Mirpoorian, Greener Pastures takes an urgent and intimate look at American farming, told through the stories of farmers living at the intersection of climate change, industrialization & a mental health crisis.

Current and former HCC students' short films will be featured on May 9 at 6 p.m. at the Normal Theater.  A panel of Heartland professors will review the submissions and assemble a program of finalists for the final screening to determine the top-ranking films.  The coveted “Audience Favorite” award will be determined and presented at the event.  All genres of short films are accepted and prizes will be given out to filmmakers!
