HCC Pontiac hosts Child Care Business Class

Heartland Community College Pontiac is offering a free workshop for those interested in starting their own family child care business. 

Heartland’s Continuing Education department, in partnership with the Child Care Resource and Referral Network, presents the seminar “Owning and Operating a Family Child Care Business” on Tuesday April 9, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Heartland Community College Pontiac (211 E Madison St, Ste #2). 

Participants will learn the key components of starting a family child care business and the different types: legally licensed-exempt; licensed family; and licensed group home. 

Snacks will be provided. Participants will also receive a starter kit of materials. The event is free, but registration is required.
