State Farm CSCI Scholarship

In partnership with Heartland Community College, State Farm Corporation provides scholarships to support high school students pursuing an associate's degree in computer science through Heartland. 

Applicant Details

The scholarship will open on November 1, 2025and close on January 15, 2026. Heartland Community College will review applications, and preference will be given to students who demonstrate financial need. Then, selected students will receive an invitation to become a State Farm CSCI Scholar by February 15, 2026.

Normal Community West High School (current and prospective CSCI students)
Olympia High School (current and prospective CSCI students)

General Scholarship Criteria Scholarship applicants must be admitted to the computer science program at their high school, remain in good standing in the program, and meet at least one of the following eligibility criteria:
  • demonstrated financial need based on eligibility for the free/reduced lunch program as verified by the high school
  • be a first-generation college student (neither parent completed a four-year bachelor’s degree)
  • be a racial/ethnic minority
  • be a female (underrepresented in STEM)

Additional Disclosures

  • Partial Scholarship Recipients: Students selected to receive a partial scholarship (covering tuition and fees for a minimum of one HCC course as well as a stipend to use toward the textbook costs for that course).
  • Full Scholarship Recipients: Students selected to receive a full scholarship (covering tuition and fees for all HCC courses as well as a stipend to use toward textbook costs) will retain that scholarship as long as they remain in the program.

The 2026-2027 application for the Early College State Farm Scholarship will open November 2025.
