Heartland hosts apprenticeship roundtable
November 21, 2022Heartland Community College is working with local employers to share information about apprenticeship opportunities.
On Thursday, December 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m., Heartland is offering an apprenticeship roundtable, featuring area employers including Rivian and Ferrero. The roundtable will be held at the Workforce Development Center (WDC) Room 1006 on the campus of Heartland Community College (1500 W Raab Rd., Normal, IL).
Heartland Community College offers several registered apprenticeship programs. These are unique, flexible instruction programs combining job related courses with structured on-the-job learning experiences. Businesses interested in learning about apprenticeships, opportunities for funding, and the benefits of partnering with Heartland Community College are encouraged to attend this free session.
Heartland’s Apprenticeship programs currently offer a range of credentials ranging from micro-certificates, full certifications, and associate of applied science degrees. Employer-sponsored students are currently studying in programs that include Industrial Maintenance Technician, EV Maintenance & Light Repair, and Tool & Die Maker.
