Hawks Baseball Team returns to NJCAA National Championship Tournament
May 22, 2024The Heartland Community College baseball team is heading back to the NJCAA DII World Series Tournament to defend their national title.
The Hawks will compete for the NJCAA National Championship at David Allen Memorial Ballpark in Enid, Oklahoma held May 25 – June 1.
Last weekend the Hawks defeated Illinois Central College and took 2 of 3 from Parkland College in the Central District Tournament. Heartland will enter the national playoff as a 4 seed. The Hawks will face off Sunday, May 26 against the winner of a first-round matchup between St. Johns River State and Westchester College.
This will be the third consecutive year the Heartland Hawks baseball team will make an appearance in the national tournament. They captured the National Championship in last year's tournament.
This season's Hawks baseball squad has an overall record of 43-16.
