Spring 2026 CreatiVets Student Art Show

The Joe McCauley Gallery is pleased to present a student art show focused on the creative works produced during Heartland Community College’s CreatiVets sponsored course.

With the support and consultation from CreatiVets, veterans of the US Military were given a place at Heartland Community College where they could explore their experiences through art making. Using resources provided, students examined and expressed their experiences of military service through their artworks.

We invite you to join us in admiring these experiences our veteran students have shared with us through their creations.

Students are dedicating the exhibit to fellow classmate Nancy Benedict, who passed away last year. Student veterans collaborated to finish their classmate’s unfinished artwork after her unexpected passing.
