Why Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machining?

Combine the knowledge of computer programming and the skills of machining to become a Computer Numerical Control (CNC) Machinist. Machinists work with precision milling and lathe machines to produce extremely accurate mechanical components. A CNC Machinist sets up machines, writes and tests programs, and makes the necessary adjustments to produce the components to support aerospace, aviation, healthcare, information technology, and transportation industries. Through this program, students will be introduced to CNC lathes and mills, including setup, operation, and troubleshooting CNC technologies.
