Phones, bridges, airplanes, roads - all of these are essential for our everyday life. None of them would exist without engineers! These professionals apply the principles of science and mathematics to develop economical solutions to technical problems.

Their work is the link between scientific discoveries and commercial uses.Faculty in Heartland's engineering department are ready to provide you with the analytical and hands-on skills you need to become a successful engineer. 

Completing this degree program will allow you to transfer to a four-year college, where you can focus on a specialty within the field. These include but are not limited to chemical, civil, electrical, mechanical,

General Education Core Curriculum Requirement

For completion of the Associate in Arts degree, you will need to complete a minimum of 37 general education core curriculum (GECC) hours, within 7 categories, as part of the 60-credit hour degree. For the completion of the Associate in Science degree, you will need to complete a minimum of 41 general education core hours as part of the 60-credit hour degree.
