Psychology Information
Explore the depths of human thought and behavior as a student of psychology at HCC. You'll focus on the different branches of psychology, the theoretical perspectives of each and the common history and research methods used in the field.
More advanced coursework focuses on the practical application of psychology through observation, communication and research. As an HCC student, you can join the Meditation Club and apply relaxation techniques learned in psychology coursework. Courses include Personality, Child and Adolescent Psychology, Adult Development and Aging, Abnormal Psychology and Human Sexuality.
By studying psychology you'll develop critical thinking, effective one-on-one and small group communication skills and a better understanding of individual human behavior. You'll be prepared to transfer to a four-year college or university where you can complete additional studies and equip yourself for positions often held by those with a psychology background including Business/Sales
