Student Emergency Fund
The Heartland Foundation and Dean of Students office work together to oversee the Student Emergency Fund for students who have significant financial need. The Student Emergency Fund provides assistance to students for eligible expenses incurred due to unforeseen hardships that could impact their ability to remain enrolled in school. You will be contacted within 3-5 business days of application submission.
*Please note, any awarded funds would be paid directly to the requesting business. For example, rent would be paid directly to the rental agency. A car repair would be paid directly to the repair company. These funds cannot be paid directly to the student. To expedite the payment process, students can request that the payee complete a W9 Form.
Student Emergency Funds do not have to be repaid to the college.
