An orientation for those new to Heartland and new to teaching. Required for full and part-time faculty seeking promotion.

In-depth discussions of books about ideas that influence our courses and our students.

Faculty Academy III: Seminars on Specialized Topics

Seminars on specialized topics of interest including but not limited to College initiatives. 

Faculty Best Practices

Discussion of teaching practices and exploration of tested teaching strategies, presented by Heartland faculty.

Alternative Delivery Training & Certification

Online training focusing on proper instructional design and technology usage in online/hybrid instructional environments. The use of Canvas to supplement traditional instruction is also addressed. Additional training opportunities related to online/hybrid instruction beyond initial certification will be available to address faculty needs and student learning.
