Challenger Learning Center STEM Experiences

Heartland’s Challenger Learning Center (CLC) provides unique opportunities for youth to strengthen their knowledge in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) and to explore STEM careers. Last year, the CLC supported teachers and schools in meeting Common Core Standards and Next Generation Science Standards by providing more than 4,800 local youth with hands-on, immersive STEM experiences. Additionally, through Kids@Heartland, the College offers local youth more than twenty STEM-focused enrichment and exploration opportunities each summer.

The Heartland Community College Foundation has created a fund to ensure access to these unique STEM experiences for youth from low-income backgrounds.
