HALO Peer Mentors
The HALO Peer Mentor Program fosters peer-to-peer relationships between mentors and HALO students by providing social experiences, supporting HALO students in taking next steps toward independence, and helping facilitate a full college experience.
Mentors serve as an advocate, coach and role model for HALO students by providing them with mentorship, resources and consistent interactions. Mentors meet regularly with their Mentee to assist with both academic and social situations, including helping with coursework, problem-solving academic and social needs, connecting to campus resources, planning for next steps toward their desired future, and gaining access to and acceptance in student life, clubs, athletics and general college activities.
