Career and Technical Education
Machinists are the sculptors of the modern age, turning a piece of metal into a work of art. Their creations form the components of many of our everyday products using lathes and mills to meet the precise fit, form, and function of the components’ needs. Through Heartland’s Machine Tool Technology Skills Certificate program, you can obtain your certificate or continue your coursework onto the Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Industrial Technology degree. Through the certificate program, students will be introduced to blueprint reading, AutoCAD, Metrology (precision measuring), CNC Manufacturing, and basic computer skills.
