Students with Learning Disabilities

  • Testing assistance: separate area, extended time, reader
  • Textbooks/materials: audio, pdf
  • Notetaker

Additional resources may be available to students with intellectual disabilities through the Heartland Academy for Learning Opportunities (HALO) program.

Students with ADD/ADHD

  • Testing assistance: separate area, extended time, reader
  • Notetaker
  • Preferential seating

Students with Psychological Impairments

  • Flexibility with attendance
  • Notetaker (when absent)
  • Emergency Medical Occurrence information

Students with Visual Impairments

  • Testing assistance: separate area, extended time, reader, scribe
  • Software such as ZoomText, JAWS, and the use of CCTV's are available
  • Textbooks/materials: audio, pdf, large print, Braille

Students who are Deaf/Hard of Hearing
