Call or visit an academic advisor to explore career goals and develop an academic plan.
Residency
Upon application to the college all students are considered out of district until proof of residency is provided to Admissions. To learn more about how to meet the residency requirements visit residency and District #540 boundaries. For billing purposes, applicants are encouraged to verify in district residency as soon as possible.
Testing
Some coursework in the EV AAS degree may require taking the ACCUPLACER Literacy or Mathematics Test or a waiver. Make an appoinment with Heartland's testing center or determine if you can waive you placement test.
To schedule a date through Heartland, click on the Make Appointment page. Choose your testing location. Choose ACCUPLACER Reading. Leave the search parameters blank to see the dates the test is offered. You will receive a confirmation email to your home.heartland.edu account.
Transfer Students
Students with credits from other automotive technology programs may enroll in Heartland EV coursework. Automotive credits will be evaluated on a course-by-course basis. All other credits are subject to Heartland Community College's transfer policy.
Heartland Community College tuition for credit courses is based on residency in district 540 (PDF). Some courses also carry a course-specific fee.
