Gateways to Opportunity® Credentials
Heartland awards certificates that align with the Illinois Gateways to Opportunity® credentials, which will increase your marketability when applying for jobs in the early childhood field. The credentials are important for employers to show that they have a qualified staff. Because of ExceleRate Illinois, the state-wide quality rating and improvement system, child care programs look for employees with credentials. Those who complete any of these pathways should apply to Gateways directly for the credentials here.
