Insurance Courses

Heartland Community College recognizes some of State Farm and Country Financial insurance courses as prior learning. Students may receive credit for successful completion of these trainings. More information can be found below.

State Farm

Description: Students who have completed training at State Farm may be granted credit for those courses.

Submit scores: Students must submit an EdAssist application for a Letter of Credit from their Bright Horizons accounts. This letter should be sent to the Records Office.

Credit acceptance: Students may be granted a max of 30 credits or 50% of their program plan. In order for prior learning credit to be posted to an account, students must be in a HCC degree seeking program.

The Records Office will only post prior learning credit relevant to your HCC degree. Posting irrelevant credit could negatively impact your financial aid and/or veterans benefits. Please contact Financial Aid for more information at FinAid@heartland.edu
