Enhance your HCC education by taking classes in Pontiac and participating in Hometown Hawks events.

Become a Hometown Hawk

  • Save time and money staying in your community
  • Connect with local students, staff, and instructors
  • Attend local HCCP events
  • Hometown Hawks is a local program for Livingston County students who maintain enrollment in at least one HCC undergraduate/credit class. The goal is to connect students with HCC services and activities, help build network of friends and instructors, and provide social events at the Pontiac location.

  • Anyone enrolled in an HCC undergraduate/credit class at Pontiac, Normal, or Lincoln and lives in Livingston County is eligible to be a Hometown Hawk. Classes can be in-person or online.

  • There is no cost to be a Hometown Hawk. However, participants must register with the Hometown Hawks Pontiac student group, attend an orientation, and participate in activities.

  • By being a Hometown Hawk, you and your fellow Livingston County area students can:

    • Participate in local activities with other students
    • Take group road trips to the Normal campus
    • Utilize HCC services at the Pontiac location
  • To become a Hometown Hawk you may enroll at getinvolved.heartland.edu, search Hometown Hawks Pontiac, then join the group.
